Fathima Asla

Fathima Asla was a bright and wonderful young girl. Read her sister Afra's Tribute below.

Asla's drawing of Lord Jesus the day before the 21st

We were both together in the Church that day, but she left us. However, I know for sure that she is happy in the Kingdom of God.

God’s garden must be beautiful, because you are there, Asla, and God always takes the best from among us.

Although incredibly difficult, this reminds me not to feel sorrow for her death, but instead to feel grateful that her presence has blessed our lives.

– This Tribute is by Fathima Afra – Sister of Fathima Asla whose precious life we lost at the Easter Attack.

We at The Easter Attack Survivors Project thank Afra for getting in touch with us with this beautiful Tribute for her sister.

Are you a Survivor?

We have identified two broad categories of Survivors:

1. Primary Survivors – those who were present at the attack or lost loved one/s, and

2. Secondary Survivors – those who were indirectly affected by the attack (e.g. your business suffered, you were subject to racism/discrimination etc., or any other way in which this attack affected you.)

Whichever category you belong to, we are looking for your story.
By sending in your submission, you will also be helping other survivors in this community.

(All three languages are welcome).
